Podgorica Roman Ruins, a photo from Podgorica, South

Photographer's Note

To be honest, I was underwhelmed with Podgorica, the capital city of Montenegro. Hotel prices were over inflated and there was little to see. I found these Roman ruins along the river bank mildly interesting. There are many far more interesting places to see in Montenegro. The more impressive Duklja Ruins are 3 km north from Podgorica, but rather than waste another day I headed to Budva & Kotor instead. In the fg is the old Ribnica River Bridge. Oh well, at least I get to add some more yellow to my map of Montenegro.

Hello Chris,
I agree that Podgorica is probably the least interesting capital city in all of Europe, but there are nice places on its outskirts, like what you captured here from a good angle. The fine light and the river with reflected trees make us forget what a boring city it is. I also agree that there are many beautiful places in other parts of the country. I do hope you spent a few hours in the former, and maybe again future capital Cetinje. That's a really pretty town.

You may have been underwhelmed by the place but you still managed, for me, an interesting picture.
From this elevated viewpoint, you have guided us succinctly to the walled areas edged by the river and the Roman ruins which are captured in a lovely, warm, glow.

Hello Chris, the Roman ruins offer good views on the nearby river. Stairs and pathways have been planned to allow the visitors to explore easier the site. Fine colors, good image quality and excellent pov, regards.

That must be the most attractive spot in Podgorica, Chris, I remember seeing a flat-land scattered houses when we crossed this town - did not see those ruins.
A high effective POV, depth and beautiful colors cast.
