Photographer's Note
During a business trip to the Netherlands, I remember I had rented a car and drove all the way to Alkmaar where a cheese market is held once in a week.
Of course it's more a show than an industry, but it works well when tourism is concerned. Actually the problem for a photographer is that carloads of tourists are coming in and there's hardly a place to watch anything.Nevertheless I found my way to an upper floor somewhere in a building, and could manage one or two pictures of the show.

I really like this one, Izzet. The pattern given by the cheese display has a lovely contrast in the passing carriers. The colours are great, too. Well done.

geometrisine ve ritmik ögelerine bayıldık bu kompozisyonun. belki saçma gelebilir ama dama taşlarını anımsattı tekerlek şeklindeki peynirler...
tebrikler, teşekkürler

Merhaba Izzet.
The movement creates a lot of dynamism.
Powerful picture and also very interesting. Even without cheese would be interesting, but the cheese can even add much more interest.
Take care.

Merhaba,
This photo deserves a lot more attention. Composition is fantastic: the two cheese-carriers (if that's what they are called) are perfectly positioned in the frame and the motion blur is just the right amount. Very strong graphical arrangement of the cheese wheels, as well. A truly exemplary and unique photo.
Best wishes,
Hakan

Hi Izzet,
I wonder how many of these fantastic you have hidden in some treasure trove. I guess a few thousand more:) Its never easy to avoid the cliches when its a merely a show to attract the tourists but you have done brilliantly well here.

An elegant image, Izzet! Love the brilliant red curves that frame the lower corner and the vivid yellow patterns around. Beautiful.

Olá Izzet, very beautyful capture of the movement of the carriers. The vantage POV is great and give a lovely graphism, one of the things I like more in your work. The orange colors are appealing and make a good contrast. A wonderful shot!
Friendly regards from me and my cats,

A great high POV, Izzet, it was fortunate you had to find a place away from the crowds. The red hats go nicely together with the yellow circles of the cheese, and you also nicely captured the movement of these guys, I like how you placed them tightly in the compo. Cheers :) Daniel

Hello Izzet Bey,
Your notes are always so concise and good, that it is a pleasure, and instructive to read.
As for the photo, I am always amazed by your compositions and pov. The shot itself is so expertly, and almost shows us what is happening without reading your notes. The colors are simple yet striking, and the details are wonderfull. I wish you a great weekend. Best personal regards. Salvator.

Hello Izzet. A good use of shutter speed to show the movement in this scene, and a fine framing with the folks in the lower left area opposed to the stacks of cheese at the upper right. Did you know right away you'd use 1/30 or did you take a few variants with different speeds to see which turns out best?

Hi izzet
Good repetition of the yellow, circular cheeses, with superb motion blur of the red hatted workers. I like the high pov too. Tfs!

Hi Izzet,
I’ve seen the film «Girl with a Pearl Earring», where such a scene takes place, but I wasn’t aware that this tradition still goes on. So thanks to you, I will surely be among those over numbered tourists, because your photo is absolutely beautiful and inviting.
The reduced colours scheme and your terrific point of view make this photo a stunning one. The motion blur of the «cheese transporters» create a lot of dynamism and a sense of emergency. I don’t like cheese, but your image is very appetizing.
Like it a lot!!

Hi Izzet
I posted a picture of this market today, and so I surf on the theme and discover your picture. Amazing POV, unusual compared to the tourist POV. Well framed, and you had the same idea as I; low speed to give movement feelin in the image. I like the red and oranges hues contrasting on the grey pavement
Have a nice WE
