Sculpture in the garden of the Kröller-Müller Museum
A Few Rules for Beginners
Babies must not eat the coal
And they must not make grimaces,
Nor in party dresses roll
And must never black their faces.
They must learn that pointing's rude,
They must sit quite still at table,
And must always eat the food
Put before them--if they're able.
If they fall, they must not cry,
Though it's known how painful this is;
No--there's always Mother by
Who will comfort them with kisses.
Katherine Mansfield (1888-1823)

Bonsoir, cher ami Rob,

Groeten,
Lars

Hi Rob
Interesting place to take a photo and the sculpture is certainly very graphic. It's good having the circle where you're taking the photo to draw the eye. Personnaly I think I would have preferred a vertical frame with circle to the right to make it more dynamic.

Nikki

Very unusual and very nice. But who is peeping though the tube in the middle?
All the best,

Hola Rob.
A piece of art with a good graphic component, a monochromic shot with just one tube with color, very well captured, very good crop and frame.
Well done. TFS.
Wish you a good week ahead.
Best regards.

Hi Rob
It's good to have just one colour tube, breaking the b&w pattern. Excellent repetition & sharpness. Tfs!

Hi Rob,
A really graphically appealing shot and a masterly presentation of this sculpture. Looking at it a little bit like find five errors. There is something in Tube F3, F10 is higher than the other row 10 tubes, vertical bar # 1 is shorter than the others etc. TFS!
Cheers,
Ulf

Always more arty, always more abtract... But it's your gallery, now, and it works...
Pretty strange, but that's the purpose. Then...

Hello Rob,
very nice shot that was captured the metallic sculpture, with very nice graphistic way and at the some time a minimalistic one.The verticals and horizontals lines make your capture 'particular'.The color and the light are nice .Informative your note too.Congratulations.

Surprizing photo with a strong composition putting in evidence the pattern and symetry in this narrow rectangle.
Nice to see the eye of someone just on the other side of the sculpture. It is providing a kind of humanity in this metal world.
Yves.

back in your galery, i see there is a lot of removed photos ! i remember some which are great and it's a pity they are not there now,
cool shot here with a hypnotic graphism and a great tiny detail with the photographer,
the photographer photographed like the waterer watered ;)
