Photographer's Note
Kvalsund - Sennalandet
Driving a little part of the E6, most northern and the longest road within a single country in Europe, 2628 km, between Trelleborg in Sweden and Kirkenes, Norway.
Such a scenic view I won’t forget and I would love to drive again on this mountain plateau through the tundra area. This one of my favorite photo from this travel through Scandinavia.
No houses, just a few cabins...Oooooops! There was a remarquable building though... But I will post it tomorrow.
* In the workshop you can see how we travelled... :)
* * * It is a pity that I didn’t see the little snow drop on my lenses, I know... ;(
The Sami used to find "sennagrass" used as lining in their traditional footwear in these areas. Which again might have given us the name: Sennalandet.

Hello Viviane,
Siberia in February? No, Scandinavia in late May! Now, that's very exotic for someone living in Stockholm. Nice road with not too many curves, all right for driving as long as you have good tyres and don't get snow blind.
Regards,
Gert

In your profile, I read that you like postcards, but this is not a postcard here, it is a very good minimalist photo with perfect composition, and to me an unusual phenomenon of the nature, the May is green, not white!
:)

Hello Viviane,
This is definitely the long but not the winding road!
What an expanse of grey and white, where the land almost merges with the sky! The road makes a meaningful guide line through the wild wintriness!
You were brave to take a caravan on such a journey. I'm sure you would need its heater though!!!
Big hugs, Bev :-)

Brrr...so glad I'm not there. Impressive how the wind seems to blow across the picture, Viviane. Small dust speck near the top of the picture.

Bonjour Viviane
Amicalement
