Photographer's Note
The Palace on the Water or The Łazienki Palace is located in the extensive Park Łazienkowski not far from the centre of Warsaw. It was built in the 17th century for Stanisław Herakliusz Lubomirski and the next century it was remodeled for the the last Polish king Stanisław August Poniatowski, who made it his residence. The palace, which stands on an artificial island on Łazienki Lake, contains the royal apartments and art gallery.
