Photographer's Note

A fine clear day in eastern Poland bode well for an impressive sunset. I was out and about and chose a likely spot, and was waiting patiently for the sun to strut its stuff. This shows the wider scene.

As I was waiting, some kind farmer decide tonight was the night to have an enormous bonfire, right in my line of sight. I was not happy !

I managed to accept the fire, well I couldn't put it out ! and then just as the sun was preparing for its finale, I heard a jet aircraft coming, and I knew my evening was ruined !

In the final event though, the heat haze and some smoke from the fire really added to the effect, and the jet trail just made the picture.

Lucky really.

As I have said of another post, this was a view right across Europe, as this town is right on the eastern most point of Poland, just 15km from the Ukraine border.

For those who might want to see more of this area, try looking here. Sadly, the little yellow man isn't ready to take for a walk yet.
