Photographer's Note

I have spent a couple of nights in the village of Rowy located along the Polish coast of the Baltic Sea. The main attraction of Rowy is the lovely sandy beach, which however became quite crowded in recent years. It is also located at the west entrance to the Slowinski National Park. I tried to find something characteristic what would be suitable for the postcard from Rowy. I have seen indeed a lot of postcards, fridge magnets or souvenirs there, but it seems they were identical for all coastal towns with the only difference being that they had a different name of the town on them. I suppose many people struggled to find something characteristic about these villages. The only exception was this charming house, which is not old but slightly different than other houses around and it is located at the beginning of the walking promenade within the village. After the sunset crowds walk around the souvenir shops and restaurants enjoying the warm evening out.

I have struggled to photograph the place at the blue hour because the people passing by created not very photogenic ghosts, so I decided to go for this narrow scene which however had the collection of colorful car light trails.
