Photographer's Note
"Why so many photographers today? Why this invasion?" aksed the priest seeing 5 of us - Marek (Maki), Daniel (rbcy1974), Jck (jrj), Lukasz (lukaszb) and me photographing the procession.
"Because we want to keep the tradition alive and share it with the others" was my answer.
"That is good, my son. But bring us the photos" he replied.

Funny story.
Nice work; this wall with different lights, this amazing purple and this kind of no perspective, like an egyptien frieze.

Wow, stunning work Jerzy,
fantastic moment with those superb colors and tones. The composition is so interesting, mainly I guess for the dress of the priest, which came out superbly. Im really going to be interested in seeing the photos come in over the next week or so from you guys.

GREAT one, Jerzy, iconic, powerful, filmic...you name it. The boy's quizzical expression behind the priest is priceless. This is a fantastic "still" from a movie about today'S Poland, and about the past too.
Love it!

Oh wow Jerzy, This is just absolutely brilliant work! The whole atmosphere of conversion is so very present, strengthened by your title. The patriarchic look on the priest’s face and than the little dazzled boy behind him, clearly turning his head back to this strong figure, and wondering with his puzzled look what he will do... to follow or not to follow that's the question...
I think you gave us his answer already by the way you lit the boy’s face, as well as the priest's and perhaps even more his guiding hand strongly wrapped across the cross shall not mislead. The tones of this very filmic, iconic scene are exquisite. Well I think your answer to his question should have been "I have come on a great mission to capture a master shot". Sabine

This is really incredible, Jerzy. A very beautiful shot with a perfect balance and absolutely stunning light and dark. Classical. Don't forget to take the shot to him! (As I shouldn't forget to send you mine, the one that is in the back of my head, mea maxima culpa!)

Dear Jerzy
You should give them a copy of this masterpiece.
Why? Would you ask?
Because, quite possibly, they'll never have anything so fabulous in their archives.
The picture is telling million words. And the young slavic face' fella - he should have his portrait taken by you in a separate shot.
Another excellency,Jerzy

Czesc Jurek!
Jak zwykle swietne zdjecie, jak zwykle swietna historia. Tradycja. I nagle ty wysylasz kolejne takie zdjecie. Moze jeszcze nie wszystko stracone?

Witaj Jurku,
Wyczuwam zmianę nastroju w twoich kolejnych fotografiach.
Pozdrawiam,
Jurek

Hi Jerzy,
You've got a very good light at this moment which created this nice shadow effect.
I'ts funny to see how the boy is looking at the priest.

Hi Jerzy
Hope the travel home at Sunday ended well :-)
I had a dinner with Marek, his wife and child and also Daniel at Sunday - very nice!
This photo is interesting as I think there is some slight postprocessing here that really brings out some more structure and details of the sourroundings. Good work that you was able to isolate the boy and the priest in this way.

Hi Jerzy.
Not only a good composition, the light and the moment when you make the photo are very interesting. Both are, for me, the most important elements of the photo.
Simple, but good.
Thanks for share.

This could be a scene from a movie, really. The small boy on the left looking at the priest from the back, slightly sceptical. And the priest with his traditional dress walking on seriously and concentrated. I especially like the light with the shadows and the sunshine creating a very special effect on the priest's robe!
