Photographer's Note

Pigeons have more in common with us than you might have thought. Did you know that, unlike most other birds, pigeons produce crops milk which they feed to their young? And, of course, they tend to live in cities- what hold them there? Us? You bet, we provide them with more food than they might be able to find elsewhere. They seem to have a sense of "home" too- kept as pets and let out to fly freely they will always come back (this is more than we can say about some people though). It is also believed that once pigeons mate, they stay together for life (and this is definitely much more you could say about most people. A small creature with a small brain at one end, and a much bigger one with a much larger and developed brain at the other...

Hello, What a creative shot! Great composition, I like how you've made the pigeon much bigger than the man. Maybe a bit oversharpened on my screen but this is really a wonderful picture.

Great picture Aleksandra! I love pigeons. I even have a series of pigeon pictures as a temporary exhibition in my website. Love your composition. The tilt works perfectly, placing both subjects in each corner. The toning is also very nice, but the light is what really strikes me here. Real gold!
