Photographer's Note
The Furnas Lagoon located in the parish of Furnas, Povoaçăo municipality, is the third largest lagoon of the island of Săo Miguel, and was last to have erupted in 1630, and where there are the most visible signs of volcanic captivity on which are implanted the Azorean islands.
In this idyllic paradise, we can see the Lagoon of flowering and green banks, and the fumaroles where volcanic activity comes to the surface in puddles of mud and boiling water. Here it is cooked emblematic of geysers that is cooked in the volcanic heat.
