Photographer's Note
Situated in the volcanic craters that form the island, they burst as fenómeno marcante paisagístico of all the archipelago. Legend of the Lagoons of the Seven Cities At withdrawn time, it existed, in the place where today she is the clientele of the Seven Cities, a prosperous kingdom and lived a young princess there very, beautiful kind e, that grew each day in size, gentility and formosura. The princess adored the life campestre and frequent she walked for the fields, delighting itself with murmuring of the ribeiras or the verdejante beauty of mounts and valleys. One day, the princess of pretty blue eyes, during its stroll, was to give to the viçoso Prado where a flock grazed. To the shade of the ramagem of a tree it came across with the shepherd of green eyes. They had spoken of the animals and other simple things, but beautiful e they had been soon gotten passionate. In the following days and weeks they had always met in the same place, to the shade of the old tree and the love was growing of such form that they had changed oaths of perpetual love. However, the notice of the meeting between the princess and the shepherd arrived at the knowledge of the king, whom it desired to see the son married one of the princes of the neighboring kingdoms and soon it forbade to come back to see it the shepherd. The princess, knowing that the word of the king not return behind, accepted the decision, but asked for that allowed it plus a meeting with the shepherd of the valley. The king acceded to the order. They had met for the last time under the shade of the old tree and had spoken long of its love and its separation. While they spoke, they cried and in such a way they had cried that the tears of the blue eyes of the princess had been falling in the soil and had formed a blue lagoon. The fallen tears of the eyes of the shepherd were as much and so felt that they had formed a tame green water lagoon, so green as its eyes. They had been broken up, but the two lagoons formed for tears, had been forever joined and are called Lagoons of the Seven Cities. One is the Blue Lagoon, to another one it is the Green Lagoon and in days of sun its colors are more intense and reflectem the shining look of the enamored princess and the shepherd

Astounding view from a place not so many have seen.
Pointing camera downwards makes the horizon look curvy, which accentuates the feeling of spaciousness. I wish there was some sunshine in the foreground. It would make this great!
