"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end"
In the beginning, in the Garden of Eden, they were together.
Afte humans were expelled, they were preserved in the mildest of subtropics and tropics, the last places in the Southern Hemisphere that were "discovered".
Before the end, they came together one last time. In Saint Michael Island, where else then?

I am increasingly impressed with the quality of color people here on TE are able to capture. With this image, it is not just the quality of color but the contrast between the yellows and reds that really makes the image standout. TFS.

Hi Ilena, well done for this shot, you really captured the light well and good POV, the only thing I will say is that you have too much sky and too much dark water at the bottom but overall it is a good shot well done.

Please have a look at the photoshop that I done for you, it is only a simple crop.

Hi Ilena,

A very interesting capture! Would have liked to see a bit more information on camera settings to get an idea why some things look the way they do. The fact that you included the lights make that the darker parts of the sky are quite noisy. These lighhts limit lengthy exposures possible and with it, you have to increase Iso and with it noise.
But an interesting point of view and interesting note. Not being Portugese I do slightly miss the link between Saint Michael and Acores island...

Being a Portuguese I can not let this go without a comment! I particularly like the beautiful sky even if the all rest in the photo is very nice. Good colours and nice POV too. And, a very interesting note too. Well done.
