Photographer's Note
Aveiro was a great city to visit. The canals reminded me of Bruges but the warm atmosphere is genuine Portuguese. Attractive architecture, kind people, great food as everywhere in Portugal...a lovely day there!
Here are some info about this city:
- Located on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean, Aveiro is an industrial city with an important seaport. The city of Aveiro is also the capital of the District of Aveiro, and the largest city in the Baixo Vouga intermunicipal community subregion.
- The University of Aveiro is considered as one of the best of Portugal and 354th best university in the World.
- Aveiro is also known as "The Portuguese Venice", due to its system of canals and boats similar to the Italian city of Venice.
- The people's quality of life is high. The unemployment rate is very low (about 5%).

Hello Daniel,
A nice photo from Aveiro, which i also remember as a pleasant and attractive town although I was there for only one day more than 30 years ago. There is a nice balance between sky, buildings, boats and water and the photo has a fine clarity.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Daniel,
I like the composition and point of view and the framing supplied by the boat. The image is well exposed and has agreeable natural colours and excellent clarity.

Bonjour Daniel,
Un trčs beau cadrage vertical qui accompagne bien la hauteur des maisons et la ligne de fuite vers la gauche. Les couleurs explosent sous cette magnifique lumičre.
Amicalement

Hi Daniel,
The buildings are framing well the boats. The point of view is showing the details of the buildings and of the boats. The good luminosity is making the colours to stand out. Have a nice day.

Hi Daniel
thanks for this post, it's helped me out as I will probably add this city to my list of places to see when i'm here in a couple of weeks.
Question for you...how did you get around the country? did you rent a car? did you take trains from city to city, to get from North to South Portugal? I"m thinking of renting a car, not sure.
lovely little scene, its bright, warm, clear, and looks like it has a nice mixture of architectural styles. sweet shot.
cheers

Hello Daniel,
One of the most toured towns in Portugal, and rightly deserved it. The Venezia of the Atlantic, and a charming town with many intriguing POV's photography-wise.
Flor-Do-Bairo is the name of the boat, well placed against the white façade.
My best regards,
Ike

Hi Daniel
Beautiful capture, neat and clean, oozes warmth with the catchy boat grabs attention which is nicely contained within the frame. I find the combination of white, blue and deep brown is so graceful to look. Lovely snap, Congrats
Best regards
