Photographer's Note
Hi everyone!
Here you have my first and more “technical” experiment in fotography!...
This lovely water line, its part of a biggest artificial waterfall constructed by William Beckford in Monserrate Park, approximately in the beginning of 19th century. This Park contain what remains from a magnificent and extensive exotic garden, planted later by the british James Burt, (in 1860-1863 by request of Francis Cook), which as been completely dominated by the local luxurious verdant vegetation. Monserrate Park it’s integrant part of Sintra mountain forests (Monte-da-Lua forests), and this water lines are frequent all over it!
I hope you like it!

It is easy to take photo, but somehow hard to manage good photo. For that probably need to consider what is the main object and is the object getting full attention in the framing of the photo. Here, from your notes as I understand, the water fall (!! too small to call fall) is the main object. However, stones/rocks actually seem more prominent and also foliase cover some part of the fall.
Anyway, I think you have succeeded to produce the smooth effect of flowing water and thanks for the note.

Hello Rosa,
This is a beautiful composition!
I like the waterflow along the central line, all very well framed by the fresh green leaves...
Good colours and details, in particular I like the textures of the rocks!

hello Rosa.
Good shot here. The water especially looks extremely silky; good exposure. The small waterfall surrounded by the thick greens is a nice bit of nature to see. Also, the rocks add a nice texture to your shot. If I was to give some technical feedback, maybe a lower POV to give a little more depth. Good shot none-the-less.

Chris.

Hi Rosa
Welcome to TE.
This is a very good photograph for a first "technical" experiment. The motion blur of the water is well captured at one second. This is usually the best exposure time for rapids so you have timed it excellently. The colour saturation of the leaves is well balanced and you have cropped the picture close for good impact. There is a tiny bit of brightness in the upper right corner of the picture but this can be overcome by the use of a ND filter or polarizer, depending on the intensity of the light. Overall, an impressive picture. Enjoy your stay at TE.

Fica bem.

Olà Rosa, a simple and lovely composition here. I like how the long exposure has "frozen" the water. Everything is surprisingly sharp for a 1 sec exposure...

Beijinhos,
Ricardo

Ola Rosa,
for me it is more than an experiment, because the result is excellent. Light, sharpness, POV and and and all well done. I think you see this by the audience you got for this by good reasons.
I like it, to give a response to the last sentence.

Hola Rosa.
Felicitaciones.

Hi Rosa,
First of all I must say I love your name;Rosa...is beautiful.
But you are not posting the shots which are expected from a person with such a lovely name.
Sincerely speaking I like only this shot of yours from your fallery. The shot has focus, colours, motion blurr and most importantly a good POV........but in other shots.....at least I would like to disagree.
No doubt you have a good command on the language but a good photograph is worth million words.
Hope the words of an unknown friend will inspire you to post geat shots , just similar to your name.
Regards of India,
Rajeev

Belo POV.

hello Rosa,
quite a small image for a waterfalls making me think that it is manmade rather than from nature. however the composition is superb, the green verdant foliage adds more life to the capture and the smooth flow of the falls endorses the awe.
