It is just 1,5 km [0.93 miles] between the town of Seixal, in background, and the point of view — another shore of the Tagus river, in the town of Amora, Southern Portugal. It's a short but very pleasant journey for the rower in this stretch of the river. This is a perfect example of the famous quote by Greg Anderson, “Focus on the journey, not the destination. Joy is found not in finishing an activity but in doing it.”
This part of the Tagus estuary is called Rio Judeu ("Jewish River"), despite some people call it Bay of Seixal.

Apenas 1,5 km separam o Seixal, ao fundo, e o local da foto — a margem oposta do estuário do Tejo, na cidade da Amora , sul de Portugal. É uma viagem curta, mas muito agradável para o remador neste trecho do rio. Este é um exemplo perfeito da famosa citação de Greg Anderson, "Foque-se na viagem, não no destino. A alegria não está em terminar uma atividade, mas em fazê-la. "
Esta parte do estuário do Tejo é chamada Rio Judeu (ou Rio do Judeu), apesar de algumas pessoas chamarem-lhe Baía de Seixal.
