Photographer's Note

Around the Christmas holiday, I had a two-week rest. Then we went to Lisbon to have a one-day visit. The weather was always groomy and misty, and it was drizzling that day.

This immense Christmas tree was right located in the square "Praça do Comércio" and it's claimed to be the two tallest christmas trees in Europe this year.(Another was in Warsaw) They are both 72 metres tall that as high as 20-storey highrise building.

Its lights didn't be turned on until 6:30pm.(Sunset is before 6 in winter.) We awaited there feeling freezing. But just at the moment, every light of the tree was suddenly lit and i was rather feeling awesome at that time. Many visitors were busy taking photos despite the rain. Really impressive to me.

This work is also an attempt of my first frame. I didn't crop it even though the bus-stop ad is clearly visible. Somehow I prefer to keep it as it is. Hope i didn't spoil its beauty.

ps. Ávore de Natal i.e. Christmas tree.
