Photographer's Note
And now...for something completely different!
This is one of a series of experiments I made, inspired by an article in a magazine.
I photographed water falling from a tap at a high speed and using the macro function on my lens (which only works over 60 cms distance).
The only digital treatment this photo has is the desaturation of the background and some unsharping, besides, of course, the reduction from 4 megapixel to 800 !

Very cool shot. Amazing clearness for falling drops. I think it's an incredible capture. I'd be interested if you had any information about the article. I love macro shooting myself. Congratulations on this photo!

Your experiment has an EXCELLENT result, Emanuel!
Sharpness, clearness, the reflections - great.
The red touch here and there, the lights, the sparkling -
very very well done. The background works perfect.
Great capture, good use of a good camera...

Espetacular... muito bem dominadas, essas gotas. Gosto particularmente da definiçăo da água, com o fundo todo desfocado. Acho ainda que devias exprimentar com um fundo diferente. Muito bom trabalho.

Fantastic Emanuel... This is very excellent macro work, and the treatment is all one needs. The red in it looks brilliant, and breaks the "murcury" look - makes is real. Stunning!

Stupendous shot. Can't really critique as I'm sulking at the moment.
Top man.

I didn't know that a shot at 1/250 secs could freeze falling water with such sharpness, it doesn't feel that fast to me. I'll have to try this.
I do like the almost metallic look of the droplets, almost like mercury. The small touch of red adds to this shot.

It's quite beautiful, amazing. The sharpness is impressive, as well as the starlights and reflection. By the way, I'm curious to know what made these red reflections ?...
Wonderful indeed, I can't take my eyes off. A success for your experiment, Emanuel.

This it is an excellent work, it is almost incredible to see so well defined drops of water. Congratulations, this is something that sure ill try. The illumination and the background play an important role in the composition.

Hi!
I've never understood macro pictures or ever really liked them, especially pictures of waterdrops. I mean, you can't really choose how the water falls, can you?
Well, I'm just a beginner and don't know much about photography.
Anyway, I'm not saying that this picture is bad, I actually like it. The desaturation works well and makes the waterdrops interesting, since they are the only ones who have a little color. And the reflection of light gives a nice summery feeling. :)
So congratulations, you've got a good camera, a good lense and some patience!
The only thing I wonder is what does this teach us about the world? ;)
Anyway, nice photo, keep photographing. I like your pictures!
