Hi my TE friends!

Today I bring to you a view of the Monserrate Park and its flora.
This beautiful park was, at the end of the 18th century, a wonderful garden of great proportions, full of exotic species, improved later ( beginning of the 19th century) by the hand of James Burt, by request of Francis Cook.
This view constitutes a good example of the kind of luxurious vegetation you can find in Sintra mountain's forests, the Monte da Lua mountain, where is located the Monserrate Park.

A nice and sharp shot of this flora. The colours are very nice. At the top, it's a little overexposed in places, but nice work nonetheless.

Nice and interesting place. Good framing with the tree on the right. A bit too bright leaves in the upper part of the image.

Mais uma foto de beleza inquestionavel com estas folhagens bem destacadas pelo teu PDV.
É pena que o topo das folhas ao fundo esteja ligeiramente sobrexposto mas nada que prejudique demasiado a qualidade da foto.

Bela vegetaçăo mesmo Rosa, mas parece que a foto ficou muito exposta ou com muita saturaçăo, năo sei bem, mas năo tira o crédito de sua imagem!

Take care with the overexposition on the top of the picture. It's a pity.

Olá Rosa,
wonderful colors and the light in the background is great. The part of the tree right and the bush left give a good frame. What is the bright thing beside the bush?

Hi Rosa
A very interesting shot showing a variety of plants, flora, and trees. The scene has a good pov and nice detail. The picture is overexposed, though, as the light is too bright. I would suggest that, when taking these type of scenes, always do so in soft light. Very early in the morning, or just before sunset. The quality of the picture will be much greater, and the exposure will be easier to manage. You will also get a warmer look to the picture with greater detail and sharpness. Finally, when shooting these scenes, use a filter to cut down the sunlight that comes through in streaks and patterns. This also helps to prevent overexposure and saturates the colours more. Despite these points, the picture is a good realisation of these plants and this garden. Well done.

Olá Rosa, até que enfim que decides mostrar mais uma da zona mágica onde habitas. Já há algum tempo que estou para fazer uma visita a Monserrate, mas ainda năo se proporcionou. Dá para perceber a vegetaçăo luxuriante que escolheste para o título, numa composiçăo interessante. Como já foi referido, é pena as plantas lá atrás estarem um pouco sobreexpostas, mas sei que a luminosidade aqui năo é fácil de controlar. Venham mais!

Lovely colours to autumm season, but i think than thisn picture have a little problem. The expossure isn't good. I think than you need more contrast and controled lights. This shot isn't easy but this place is beauty.

Gosto do enquadramento e do angulo escolhido. É pena estar sobre-exposta porque a vegetaçăo neste Park é fantastica. Neste caso poderias ter melhorado algo na foto com o incremento do verde e reduçăo dos tons claros.

Gostos dos tons quentes da vegetaçăo a lembrarem que realmente já estamos bem no Outono.

I could get lost in Monserrate Park and not complain. There appears to be a variety of flora beneath the tree canopy. Composition is nice as well as colors. Best wishes. Danilo

I love your point of view in this shot capturing the flora with very good colors and framing. There are some small area of overexposure but this doesn't change the beauty of your picture. Good shot.

Good view of that superb vegetation, nice framing and POV, the only thing, as many people said, is OE on upper prtion of the image... as Rosaline says, it is important to choose the time of the day for taking fotos... morning and late afternoon is best

Seems like a very fertile place with all the different kinds of vegetation!
I like the framing with the old tree, and the intensified light in the back creates a pleasant effect...

Hi Rosa,
The tree on the right provides good balance for the frame, and the lush variety of the vegetation is well seen. These are difficult scenes to depict, as there is often no central subject or solid object to focus upon. Yet the overall ambience of the park and its flora is well appreciated. You controlled your exposure level well. A fine note.

This seems like an interesting place. I guess you had to manage strong light which has resulted in certain OE parts.

un rien surexposée la phto, ce qui rend les couleurs moins vives et plus délavées.
Il est vrai que la végétation est luxuriante et qu'il est difficile de cadrer pour tout avoir.

Almost a sStep back in time when the nature was wild,greean and untouched.....but why you used these warm tones...I do think that this picture could be better though in terme of contrast and color...Anyway, I like it

Hello Rosa,

I join in the chorus of admirers of this image shot in Monserrate Park. I was attracted to your private gallery after seeing the workshop you posted for the newly born child. Your choice of the sepia was brilliant.

The photo you have posted here is quite magnificent -- in composition, color, exposure and the natural scenery itself. Then I noticed you live in Sintra -- on two occasions when cruise ships on which I was lecturing (on art, archaeology and astrophysics -- just the A-subjects) visited Lisbon. I took a bus for the day to Sintra, where the fairy-tale castle is located.
