Photographer's Note

Almost everyone who lives in Bucharest (and Didier, who visited it) will tell you that Bucharest is an ugly city. Let me tell you: it´s not. It just needs renovation.

Especially if you´re interested in architecture of the 1920´s and 1930´s, when this was one of the European boomtowns, this is the place to go to. Lots and lots of interesting buildings had been built there, with state of the art modern architecture. And, most importantly, they have hardly been touched after they had been built, so they are stil there with all the original proportions, details and ornaments.

Since anyway I´ve not been posting too much lately and since I like this architectural style a lot, I´ve decided to use some time during my weekends to explore the city and take photos of buildings I like, just to show them to you. Sometimes I could find out something about them, sometimes not. I´m just trying to document them, so don´t expect too much photographic rafinesse. This is the first, there´s more to come.
