Sinaia Houses, a photo from Prahova, East

Photographer's Note

I caught a taxi up the hill to Peles Castle, about 2km out of the central city, but opted to walk downhill on the way back to photograph some of the quirky and distinctive houses lining the street. There is still a bit of snow on the higher peaks.

These houses are beautiful, with a very interesting architecture, and so is the view of the mountains in the background! Very good sharpness and depth! The colors were beautifuly captured! Wonderful job!

Hello Chris,

I don't think I have seen such attractive, individual houses in Romania, before! These are quite beautiful! I like your angle, which creates a fine sense of perspective , whilst still including very pertinent details of the three houses.
They look to be in a lovely location, too, with the conifers and mountains appearing in the b/g.

To take taxi for 2 km??? I always prefer to go (if I am without bigger backpack). very nice houses, original style, well kept. Funny this tower on the end of the street. Nice composition, lovely colours, good depth.

Hello Chris,
A good decision to go by foot downhill, that way you can really feel the place.
Fantastic sight of the two houses and a cylindrical facade far behind. Neat outlines and the trees rising from the back added good sense of vertical view towards the mountains on far. Fine photo, as always.

This looks like one of the residential neighbourhoods in Sinaia with architecture in which one has given form to his fantasy.
People live quietly there on the edge of the greenery and with a great view of the high mountains.

Wonderful composition of this population which had not seen pictures before, these houses are ideal, seem beginning of last century, ideal trees that surround them, and the high mountains above all, complete a picture of great beauty.
