Piata Unirii, a photo from Timis, West

Photographer's Note

At first light, the first signs of life appear in the shadows of Piata Unirii, probably the most beautiful square of Timisoara. The buildings of the square largely put here by the Habsburgs are each their own color.

We're up and here just to catch this kind of light. Otherwise, I'd much rather be still in bed. This is my favorite of the morning's shots.

This is very nicely done, Cliff. I like the reflective foreground and glowing colours. Never got to Timisoara myself. I think that space bottom left is asking to have a figure in it...

Hi Clifton, what a light! Ahhh the rewards of getting up early for the sunrise. Nice inclusion of the square with the bricks going all sorts of directions. Nice shooting. Oh do you want to be called Clifton on Cliff?

Nice shot but can be better. The birds look llike dust and noise so it distracts a bit. You can clone it out, IMHO.

A very good morning shot, Cliff. Very effetive with the lamp posts nicely lit. One can see the texture and subtle colours very clearly. I might have cropped a little of the foreground, but that is minor. The cobblestones of the foreground are themselves of an interesting pattern. Well seen and captured. Regards.

Hi Cliff,
Nice evening shot of the square. I especially like the 2 different hes on the sky against each building. I guess thats what gives the picture more strength. Good colours and sharpness.

Hi Cliff - it was worth waking up early, very nice light, and the square is almost empty, I like the contrast of the graceful building at left and the decaying ones at right.
