The Citadel before the Storm

This is the highest point of Rupea Citadel (Cetatea Rupea), which sits on top of a 120 metre high basalt cliff near the town of Rupea. It was taken just minutes before it started raining quite heavily and the sun had already disappeared behind the clouds.

I like a lot these dark stormy clouds for photos, you got a special view here. the last time I faced a cloud like this in a trip I became completely wet. haha.

Hej Lars,
Här syns det att regnet nästa hunnit ifatt dig. Det är fortfarande tillräckligt med ljus fÖr ett bra foto, men den varma lystern frĺn förra bilden är borta. Men citadellet är lika fantasieggande. Frĺgan är om du hann gĺ ända upp längs muren pĺ kullen eller om regnet satte stopp för fortsatt utforskning.

Hi Lars,
Perfect use of the challenging conditions to your advantage. The approaching storn clouds look so dramatic and the architecture looks amazing with such a background. I like the vibrant colors of the national flag.
Excellent reportage, it looks as if there is really a lot to see there or you have simply coveres a lot of distance, either way a very photogenic country!

Je zou je hier makkelijk vergissen tussen kerk en citadel :) Zolang het maar goed kan verdedigd worden ...
De lichte kleur van gebouw en muur zorgt voor een sterk contrast met de donkere lucht.

Hi Lars,
Such approaching rain always offers impressive background for photos. It is interesting to compare left and right side here. Partially crumbles wall makes almost round shape while roof edges on the right are quite sharp.
