Peles Castle, a photo from Prahova, East

Photographer's Note

Peles Castle close to Brasov, in the Carpathian mountains. This is taken the same day as my Bran-picture. The weather changes quickly in the mountains. This was the summer-residence of the last monarchs of romania (pre-WWI I think). Really beatiful interiors, but I wasn't allowed to take photos in there. It had everything that a classical castle should have, including a secret passage.

Quality isn't excellent since I used a compact camera. Editing included contrast enhancement, saturation and sharpening.

That is a beautiful building, thanks for sharing, seems that I have to go to Romania some day. The framing is nice with the trees on both sides.

I would love to see a more close up picture of this fantastic castle to better be able to appeciate the details.

Simon, this is a nice one - it shows what a beautiful architecture this castel has. I like the grainy look of it - it maybe shows the age of this castle (~ 100 years old). Good composition.

I like the way you capture the whole picture.
The trees at both side look like a frame for the castle and the pic.

Wonderful castle. Seems like from the movies of count Dracula. Exellent angle from where you shoted the pic. I like the composition of the castle, encircled with the pines.
I must go in Romania in february, if I have time I try to shot the castle in winter circumstances.

Beautifully framed with trees on either side. The spires of the building blends nicely with the spires of the trees at the back. Ver well seen.

Belle prise de vue en contre-bas qui apporte un plus ŕ cette intéressante perspective.
