Photographer's Note
Emin Gjiku was the patriarch of a wealthy Turkish family that owned this property in the 18th century. The authentic Ottoman style tearoom depicted here caught my eye. The Emin Gjiku Complex is part of the Ethnological Museum. More information here:

Hello Chris,
I think similar rooms can still be found - for real - in Safranbolu, but for most parts they now belong to museums. The shape of the room and the windows on the sides create a surprisingly good depth, and the red textiles contrast nicely with the green surroundings. Nice exposure and sharpness.
Regards,
Gert

Hello Chris,
The room is very attractive and you immediately want to enter and sample its cosiness.
It seem to extend over a precipice, with views of the countryside all around. Maybe the effect is created by the top of a tree through the r/h window. Is my interpretation correct?
I like the slashes of sunlight across the room and the shadow patterns they create.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Bonjour Chris,
La longueur de la pičce donne de la profondeur ŕ la composition. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails de la salle de thé ottoman. La lumičre met en valeur les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

Hello Chris!
This is a great shot of this wonderful room.
I would have expected this more in Turkey or Iran than in Serbia. But your note explains it.
The mainly red carpet and blankets contrast very well with the rich outdoor vegetation.

Hi Chris
I did come across this style of seating a few times in Turkey but never like this with the windows backing the setas. A good interesting one.

Hello Chris, One can see such views in places with Ottoman influences everywhere. In Topkapi, but also in Crimea. Even in Zanzibar :). Nice composition, pleasant light.

Pozdrav.
Lepa soba iz doba Otomanskog carstva, dobro pokazana sa lepim bojama, kontrastom, perspektivom i dobrim tekstom.
Turci su kod nas ostavili deo svoje kulture, i danas koristimo u svom recniku mnoge turske reci i pravimo njihova jela.
Lepa fotografija i soba u muzeju.
Zelim vam lep dan, sve najbolje za vikend.
Paja.

Hello Chris, a beautiful light room in which to sit and enjoy the view.
Lovely contrasting colours of the red upholstery and the green vegetation that we see through those lovely windows.
Nice shadows across the room.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hi Chris,
it is a shame that TrekEarth does not catch up with the administrative changes like Kosovo being a separate country, but I supposed we discussed that already and now we are rather happy from every day this website survives yet.
Nice capture, the decoration with the carpets does remind me similar rooms which I have seen somewhere in the Middle East.
Plenty of sunshine coming in.
Very well seen and captured!

Hello Chris,
This room looks very inviting. I like how the sun is filtering through the windows, and the red coverings on the seats and floor are very attractive, too. There's so much greenery outside the window, and it looks like the perfect spot for some tea. :-) Take care!
