Photographer's Note
First, I would advise TrekEarth to make Kosovo a separate country in their lists. Although I understand the Serbian claim, Kosovo functions as an independent country.
Prizren is a city with a long history. For me, this was a very pleasant surprise. I had just spent some days in Albania, where I felt like almost every single person tried to fool me with money. The landscape is nice though, and I met some nice people in a remote valley.
I eventually ended up in a small village, where the local bus to the capital - Tirana - actually straddles through Kosovo. They told me they could drop me off in Prizren. 7 km outside the city, they told me to get out.
I had no idea what to do, so I just started walking towards what seemed to be the city. I had luck. Quickly after, someone picked me up and drove me to Prizren. Kosovo-Albanians made a much better impression.
Prizren is going to see a big increase in the number of tourists within the next years. It's a very cozy place, and it felt very vibrant in the evening. Full of good quality restaurants and local people. I can highly recommend visiting this cozy town. I felt completely safe, and also did a walk late in the evening to the castle overlooking the town. The view is unforgettable.

Hello Fredrik,
IN southern Albania I found the Albanians people nice and friendly. But recently I visited Serbia and the guide, half-Serbian half Polish showed them as rude and unpleasant people. On the other hand, for her, Kosovo was part of Serbia. Lovely view here, nice houses along the river, interesting mosque, pleasant street scene. Beautiful colors and light.
Kind regards MAlgo

Hej Fredrik,
Gert
