Photographer's Note

Tovarnianska Polianka is a very small village in the close vicinity of Humenne (Slovakia) where I stayed this month of July; en yesterday continuing me through houses, I had the pleasant surprise of discovering a immature stork clappering. I think it is ready to take flight.

Living on the shores of the Mediterranean, I am not accustomed to see these migrators and even less to hear clapper.

There are many storks in the eastern part of Slovakia. I see many fields looking for their food. They are carnivorous and mainly feed of earthworms, small rodents, insects, Batrachians, fish and small reptiles.
