Photographer's Note
Now I know that the Dragons guarding then Dragon bridge in Ljubljana are almost sacred but when I was there someone had stuck what appeared to be a beer can in this ones mouth. I dare say that it wasn't appreciated by authorities and would have been removed quickly. I couldn't resist taking a photo of it.
You can see the can much better in the large view.

Hi Ian.
Yes, some folks have fun playing around with public statues, which in fact proves childish behaviour, but also can be seen as an act of vandalism.
Well taken, flying dragons exist in many locations, not as most people think that they are only part of the culture in China. TFS!!!

Hello Ian,
"Nothing special", but an amusing one. I didn't know this dragon was almost sacred, but it looks good, and so does the lamp next to it. They're fine examples of the Art Nouveau heritage of Ljubljana. Your last photo made me search my own archive of Ljubljana photos. I found quite a number of street shots I had neglected before, so they might turn up here in the near future.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Ian,
I have to say, "Well spotted!"
It looks as if the dragon is retching to expel the tin!
The green patina looks like copper.
The dragon and two the lamps make a nice trio.
Keep safe,
Bev :-)

Hello Ian,
Great photo of this dragon, I really like the juxtaposition with the lamppost as well. The colours are very vivid and well-saturated. That beer can is a great detail also, well spotted.

Hello Ian, I see that not only you took a picture of this dragon with the can in the mouth. I agree with the authorities. A lovely green statue and the lamps in the same colour. Nice composition.
Stay safe

Hi Ian
I noticed this photo several days ago, and when I visit your gallery i'm always drawn to it. So obviously i'm going to have to make a comment :) We don't often see dragon's like this in photos on TE, its quite unusual. And funny how I didn't really even notice the beer can until you mentioned it! hahaha
great visual
cheers

Hi Ian
Probably a tourist was responsible. 2, judging from the height. An amusing picture with nice inclusion of the person at bottom right also taking a photo. Tfs!
