This is my photo #4 of 6 presenting Palma Cathedral. In the foreground, you see a modern sculpture entitled Hacia el Sur meaning To the south by Uruguayan artist Enrique Broglia (1942 2013). I considered to get closer to the sculpture but I was actually more interested in the cathedral and from a more distant point I had a better view of it. The sculpture is located to the south of the old town and more precisely south west from the cathedral in the Parc de la Mar, but I am not actually sure what it presents and what the title refers to. I was just able to find out that the artist has donated this work to the Palma City Council in June 1984, a year after he moved here from Paris. His sculptures can be seen in Seoul or Osaka.

Wondered what this modern statue seems to show, Mariusz, but most attention is towards the cathedral and its beautiful spearing turrets.
Palm and other trees in the front and above the wall gave good scale and nice green tones to the whole.

Hello Mariusz,
A great photo of this cathedral. It looks so beautiful and the many smaller turrets and the larger towers stand out so well from the blue sky. Superb clarity and sharpness and I like the lovely, peaceful mood of the place.

Mariusz, another picture presenting that cathedral. The pov shows it is protected by thick ramparts. Many palm trees are growing in the garden around it. The monument has a lovely sandy color. Good image quality, excellent light, instructive photo note, regards.

Hello Mariusz, a lovely composition where we see the modern sculpture in the foreground and then the beautiful spires of the Cathedral.
I like the triangle created by the water and the wall pointing our eyes towards the artwork.

Hello Marius,

This is a very well composed photograph of the cathedral, with the sculpture well placed, anchoring the f/g.
It immediately makes you want to follow the converging lines, to appreciate the honey coloured building, its pinnacles rising elegantly towards the blue sky, contrasted by the deep green of the trees and vegetation.
You have achieved an excellent sense of perspective.

It is a glorious cathedral and the palm trees give it an exotic appeal. The modern statue makes a cultural contrast to the traditional cathedral and the fellow in red shorts provides the much needed red in the frame. 👍🏻👍🏻

Well ... the sculpture helps a bit to give more depth to the photo ...
But it's the cathedral of course that demands all our attention. The plants on the wall and the row of trees make the view even more beautiful and charming.
Instead of the sculpture there could also be an ice cream stand.

Hi Mariusz.
The cathedral of Palma offers several beautiful angles to photograph it, each different I know very well, that I saw it several days at different times, because it was always a place of passage to our bus.
This POV with part of the pond, the sculpture, the wall and the beautiful vegetation, from which emerges that beauty of pinnacles and turrets is a wonder.
A fantastic photo, with beautiful natural colors, very good lighting and excellent sharpness.
