Photographer's Note

Pour faire plaisir ŕ notre ami Mariusz (mkamionka) une vue toute simple d'une plage de sable noir typiquement canarienne , celle de Vallehermoso .
C'est un endroit trčs tranquille, au bout d'une petite route charmante ŕ quelques kilomčtres de la ville . La houle y est souvent trčs forte et la baignade possible seulement quelques jours dans l'année . En retrait , a été constuite une piscine d'eau de mer avec bar et restaurant , mais elle est souvent fermée , connaissant des problčmes d'exploitation.

The line between sea and beach is stronger on black sand, as I just commented on Mariusz' shot, so I won't resist leaving a note here too. In both shots it's the blackness of the sand that stands out beautifully.

Trčs belle plage de ce qui me semble de sable noir ou bien trčs humide.On dirait que les roches sont misent en pénitence dans leur coin. La falaise est impressionnante.

Salut Denis,pas de monde naturellement sur la plage en Mars,cette une tres jolie capture de cette plage noire,sauvage et capturee' dans une qualite' impressionante comme d'habitude. Belle soiree' et merci,Luciano

A good photo of this wild coast. Great colour in the cliffs but I must say that black beaches don't look very inviting.

hello Denis,
Nice dedication to Mariusz and the view of the black beach. I saw some of the black beaches in Iceland and I liked then very much But they consisted of the small shiny pebbles, not sand. it looks quite wild, with no people in sight.

Bonjour Denis,
A great capture of this black beach in front of the incoming waves. The backdrop is formed by some wonderful and attractively coloured cliffs, which got lit by such an appealing sunlight.

Bonjour Denis,
what a nice dedication, but even though I smiled seeing my name, soon I experienced the jaw-dropping seeing the actual image.
This is so beautiful!
The black beach at its best!
I like how it is subtly touched by the foamed gentle ocean waves.
Most importantly the colors are stunning!
The volcanic origin with the red rocks becomes so apparent!

As mentioned before, except for you, there is also a guy who sits with me in the office, who visits La Gomera every year, he travels a lot but Gomera is a place he returns to every year.
I was first a bit repulsed by the fact that there are no direct flights but he says it is not a big deal.

Anyway, this is so beautiful.
Sometimes seeing photos with such a great quality as yours I am a bit discouraged thinking I will never be able to take photos like this, but then again it is good to have something to aspire to.

great to have the white crest approaching up on the sand, the rocks in the bg, the various blue tones, there's a lot to like.
