Photographer's Note
An outstanding creation of Josep María Subirachs in the Sagrada Familia - The Judas Treason. Please also note the Magic Square of numbers...
Christian symbology is to be found in all Gaudí's work, but the most evident example of its application is the church, which tells the life of Jesus and the history of the faith.
To that end the church has been built over the years according to Gaudí's original idea, which expresses the Catholic faith in the architecture: Jesus and the faithful, represented by Mary, the apostles and the saints. That can be seen in the eighteen bell towers, which symbolise Jesus, the Virgin, the four evangelists and the twelve apostles; on the three facades, which represent the human life of Jesus (from birth to death), and in the interior, which suggests the celestial Jerusalem, where a set of columns, dedicated to Christian cities and continents, represent the apostles.
In 1987 Catalan sculptor Josep María Subirachs joined the project, adding his controversial sculptures. Behind these figures is a magic square that appears to be his own design. Independent and with a strong personality, the artist decided to reside in the cathedral, since Subirachs needs to live where he develops his job. He regards it as his own life. Therefore, living inside his work of art allows him to work full-time.
The Magic Square - In squares of order 4 where the numbers run sequentially from 1-16 the magic constant (the sum of a single line, row or diagonal) is 34, but Subirachs' square does not contain the numbers 12 or 16 (see image, above). Instead, 10 and 14 are included twice, making a magic constant of 33, the age of Jesus Christ at the crucifixion.

Hello Arunava.
Wonderful composition of this sculpture, which should not be very common in many places, the POV is well chosen, showing some ornaments on the facade, which is shown with his formidable textures.
An image with perfect sharpness, good color and adequate lighting.
Have a nice day.
Best regards.
Luis.

Hello Arunava,
The magic squares integrated into the Gaudi's great edifice, Sagrada Familia, are always appealing to me, even more than the artwork. In addition, in this photo I love the warm monotonic colors, the pockmarked texture of the stone, and the sharpness you have achieved in your focus.
Warm regards,
Bulent
