TEMPLE DETAIL OF CORNICE TOP OF THE HOUSE LLEÓ MORERA, SEEN TOGETHER WITH ANOTHER FRONT OF PASEO DE GRACIA

The Casa Lleo Morera, is project in 1902, by the architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner, on a reform of the old house Rocamora 1864, located in Paseo de Gracia, n º 35, Barcelona. Achieved in 1906 the First Prize at the annual artistic buildings awarded by the City.

In its decoration, as usual in modern times, attended by many artisans, Mario Maragaliano and Lluís Bru in mosaics, Antoni Serra i Fiter ceramics, Antoni Blanch i Rigalt stained glass and Gaspar Homar and Josep Pey in interior furnishings. Following the modernist style typical of the era, their motives are inspired by the curved lines and in nature.

The architect Oscar Tusquets, the mid-eighties of the twentieth century, undertook the restoration of the building, restoring the pinnacles and the temple of the cornice at the top, which had been severely damaged by fire from machine guns during the war Spanish Civil 1936. In 1992 he undertook a new restoration to the recovery of architectural elements of the facade.
