Photographer's Note

Same sex marriage and the right to adoption for gay people... Many things to celebrate at the Spanish gay pride celebrated yesterday in Madrid. With this photo I´d like to welcome you to this carnival where it´s celebrated the diversity, a parade I´ve had the chance to enjoy with another TE member: Eric.
I just wanted to show you this picture because the star is someone that according to his age, probably he suffered another law used till 1979 in the dark times of Franco´s dictatorship here, the one that allows to arrest people and send them to jail or mental hospitals just because the looked femenin (in the case of men) to any given police man.
If you agree with this event enjoy the photo, if you dont understand this happiness enjoy the photo too.

Ola Miguel, Congratulations with the new law! I'm so happy that it is possible now in Spain as well, to get mariied and to adopt children. I am a little bit proud that this was already possible in the Netherlands since April 2001, we were the first.

I can see it has been a ball in Madrid, I hope you will create a theme, and at least Eric will upload pictures, I guess.

Again, congratulations Miguel!

Great note well illustrated by your tender shot.
It is so terrible to imagine such things happened a few years before. That's the best reason to go on and defend our rights at any time.
Your country made a historical step with gay marriage. It is wonderful. France is far behind ...

Pero hasta ese día (la frase viene de Silos), volvemos a ver una foto tuya.

Es festiva, alegre, tiene color, la gente se lo pasa bien (en concreto el protagonista). Se ve que no tiene nada que ocultar y se me muestra a la cámara tal y como se siente en ese momento. Es feliz y lo refleja la foto (no cómo otras reuniones más grises no muy lejanas en el tiempo).
Vamos, que esta muy bien...

Alegría, felicidad, por fin empiezan a cambiar las cosas! me alegro. Veo que llevas muy bien el tema de reportero gráfico social, incluso posan para ti. Muy bien, capturaste el momento de entusiasmo que desprende el personaje, cada uno es como es y disfruta como quiere, y aquí está claro que se lo está pasando en grande. Ojalá su desparpajo y alegría se esparza por todos nosotros.
Me alegro que lo disfrutaras, al final yo también asistí a la fiesta en Barcelona que estuvo también muy animada.

Oooh what an outrageous hat, he sure did not buy it at El Corte Ingles, and congratulations. While other countries are adopting progressive laws, mine seems to be getting closer to Franco.

What a grand drag queen with a moustache! I like the use of complementary colors(ornage dress-blue sky) together. It makes the image POP! I alos liek his fun spirit and willingness to perform for your camera.
