Gay Pride Madrid 2005
She moved, I moved, Eric moved, 500.000 people moved. I put the focus on her eye and shot, the outcome is something I would call eyecentric...
What I really want is to bring an optimistic shot to TE today, and ask the politician to think over twice, we are in their hands. Dont make freedom the victim of the terror.
From Madrid loving London more than ever.

Miguel,

This is one of the better Gay Pride shots I've seen so far. It captures the motion and energy of the celebration, gives the impression of a close, busy gathering, but at the same time avoids having a crowd cluttering up the background. I love the colour and the blur, and the glitter is a nice touch in the make-up.

Most of all, it shows joy, which is what a photo from this event should do (especially in Spain this year!).

Hola Miguel.

Junto a la foto de la polémica (no hace decir cual) esta es la que más me gusta.
Tiene, ésta, toda una fuerza y una vida, tiene toda una alegría que ya quisieran muchos para sí.
La gente es feliz. Y eso se nota.
Y, si hablamos sólo de la foto: la foto retransmite esa alegría. Y eso no es poco, es mucho.

Gracias por todas tus fotos optimistas obre la gay pride. La verdad me da un gusto que Espana este en la vanguardia en el mundo con este tema. Acabo de volver del Peru y la gente esta obsesionada con el hecho de la ley de espana. Mayoritariamente la opinion es negativa. He pasado los ulitmos dias poniendo comentarios en el foro del principal diario del pais (el comercio) y las cosas que me contestan o me discuten son espeluznantes. Desgraciadamente falta mucho mucho por avanzar.

Hola Miguel,
eso de los retratos a mi no se me da demasiado bién. Veo que no es tu caso. Me gusta el momento capturado con movimiento de festividad y alegría que transmite su expresión, principalmente marcarda por su boca y caida de ojos. Los colores son muy luminosos. Para terminar, solo comentar que el angelito caido del cielo en la tierra, en el lado derecho, queda bién como complemento al retrato. Tuviste suerte que se te colara!

I enjoyed very much looking at your series about the Madrid Gay Pride, your pictures and notes are both good and thoughtful (I won't comment on some of the critiques you received... Shame on their authors).
I like this one very much because it is so full of energy and joy, with the colors, the bright small, the effect of movement. So for me this is an image of hope for the future. Thanks for your note as well.

In fact this is a curious effect. The tight framing is very well handled and the way youve captured her face great. Very nice colors too.
