Photographer's Note
Ten kilometers from Cáceres, the state's capital, is Malpartida de Cáceres, a small village in a nature area called Los Barruecos, wich was declared Natural Monument in 1998, and there you can find this singular building. It uses to be a wool washing place but now it's the Wolf Vostell's Museum.
This german artist, known as the father of the European happening and video art and co-founder of the Fluxus international artistic movement, settled in Malpartida from 1976 until his death.
The building, called El lavadero de lana (The wool washing place), is bigger and more beautiful than you can see in this image, but I tried to show the place where it is and it's relationship between it and the water. I don't konw why it is co close to water, but since it was a place dedicated to wash wool, I'm sure it needed a lot. The foreground of this picture shows the middle of the wall and the hole where the water goes through when rains raise level. Just before the building you can see and old engine used to bump water up and to the right, in the background, is the place where boats where parked. They were used to catch a delicious fish called Tenca.
Well, thet's all for my first photo. Sorry for my english and welcome to Cáceres.

Welcome to TE! Great first post. Your photographer's note is excellent, by the way...wish everyone would post notes that detailed.
I love your picture. The scene is very peaceful, the light is captured subtly and well off the building, and the levels are shot well. Thanks!

Nice colors and composition. Looks like a most quiet place. The parking lots for coaches and the churros stands must be on the other side of the building ;-) Do many visitors come to visit this museum ?
You do not mention what is the water we see on the right: a lake, a river ? In any case, the level seems to be higher than the ground nearby. There must be some type of dam ?
I would have cropped just a few pixels on the left to remove the clear stripe on the wall of the house.
We are waiting for more postings.

Very nice use of color and DOF. The way the border "walks" through the image is well captured and framed. I like the various details in the photo.
Good shot and usefull note!

Nice shot to begin with I like the god framing, the depth of field as well as the nice colors, and the river curve attracts the eye in a very pleasnt way. Your note is excellent too, a very good first shot for TE !!!

I like these kind of colours. Warm (reds and oranges) and shades of blue are great together. I like the "S" line too...

I like saturated colours and details. Also, the composition where the quayside leads us to the pier in the upper right pasrt of the frame.
