Photographer's Note

Locally, beaches on Majorca are called in Catalan Platja rather than in Spanish Playa.

Platja de Formentor is a wonderful Blue Flag beach on the way to the Cap de Formentor in the north of the island. It is certainly one of the best beaches on the island for children. I suppose there are no more places on Majorca which would be desolated. We visited the island at the beginning of the September, which one can consider to be a shoulder season and yet there were many people everywhere. It didnt stop us from having fun. In the end, the fact that the island attracts so many visitors means that it has a lot to offer. In fact, after having spent there a week I feel I could easily visit again two or three times and have a lot of interesting places to see.

What a beautiful and idyllic view of the beach, which is not too crowded, and the crystal clear water. The hills in the distance make a wonderful backdrop as well. Very well captured in a well-balanced composition.

I'm sure you've mentioned it before, but did you visit as many beaches when you were single or when you didn't have your daughter? I just wonder how much it's changed your locations and holiday locations. and is this going to be MY future as well? but it sounds like you had a great time, and are planning on heading back again. lovely shot with the variations of blues in the water, and the tall double hills in the bg to cap it all off. cheers

I guess that your daughter will have loved that holiday.
Beautiful colour of the sand and also of the water in which the light shimmers wonderfully.
Nice that trees grow that close to the sea and people can find shelter there from the sun.
The steep hills at the end of the bay make a wonderful backdrop.

This is close to most people's idea of paradise. Pristine waters, soft white sand, no huge crowds or high-rise building's shadows across the beach and only a few parasols. Excellent colour and sharpness. Tfs!

I 've only visited a part of the Sierra de Tramuntana , around Soller . But seeing your serie , I have to go back there to discover the northern part .

Niesamowity kolor wody zaprasza na zakonczenie wakacji :)
Ladna kompozycja i jak na plaze widok wcale nie jest monotonny - zroznicowanie krajobrazu robi swoje.
Rumunia dla dziecka tez jest ciekawa - masa zamkow - choc nie wiem jaki jest wlasciwy wiek na poznawanie Drakuli. Kraj bardzo sie zmienia co jest zauwazalne na kazdym kroku. Ja polecam odwiedzenie choc faktycznie lepiej podczas cieplejszej pory roku ( ale tez niekoniecznie w srodku lata bo temperatury bywaja wysokie)
