Photographer's Note

Lately I´ve been posting photos of the Sahara people refugee camp of Dajla where I went last april in order to elaborate a report about the film festival that took place there. It was a way from behalf the spaniar culture people to bring the attention of the media over the problem this people has to face surviving in the desert the complicated diplomatic situation their are suffering. Well, this photo was not taken in Argelia, but in the airport of Madrid going there, waiting for the delay flight. This hands belongs to a very famous singer here in Spain, Manu Chao... It was a moment of a improvised concert in a boarding gate, quite unusual, quite magic, quite an advance of what was expecting us there in the desert... As today I am in Barcelona going to cover a concert I feel quite musical, so I´ve uploaded this photo. Let´s share songs, my friend.

Esta imagen me llega, me toca, me hace sentir.... 'LA GUITARRA' una buena amiga que nunca me ha dejado en la estacada, que me ha dado momentos únicos con los amigos.
La foto me gusta, se nota que ha sido una imagen casi robada, con esas manos que son el complemento natural del instrumento.
Haber si algún día podemos compartir algunos acordes, ahora que ya somos colegas en lo de la música.

Bueno, que suerte tienen algunos ;) Me gusta la compo, sin mostrar el rostro, tan solo la esencia de lo esencial... como dice Paco, la guitarra y su complemento, y no solo eso si no que la estaba percutiendo (parece).
Me gusta el tono "sobrio" con que la has tratado.

his hands reminds me of the hands of David by Michelangelo somehow... i guess george is right... this is a shot about the hands... impressive shot miguel, congrats...

Lovely image, Miguel. More than lovely, it has an enormous power, for my eyes, the same Carlo´s image of the dancer (http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/photo898482.htm) shows.

I would crop just a little, on his elbows, and dark that white pice of cloth.

Buenos días Miguel.

Bueno, por lo visto esta persona es non grata en Iberia pero no en TE. Además, yo pensaba que era más fácil verle con alcohol en la mano que no con una guitarra.
Sea como sea, me gusta la foto por su idea, su composición y la vida que le aporta ese punto de movimiento que conserva la foto.

Hola compańero! Buen momento de ese instante. Una foto no convencional en lo que representa tocar la guitarra,...pero imagino que el tamborileo que hacia debia de ser genial, siendo Manu Chao, con su ritmo endiablado.
Veo que Jordi te ha escrito...que lo sepas, el es un buen guitarrista, modesto, pero de los buenos.

If the hands belong to famous Manu Chao, the photo has an added interest - such powerful hands (and great WS by GG !) : nervous hands, like talking hands impatient to play and to express themselves...
