Photographer's Note
Street artist in La Rambla - Barcelona.
La Rambla or Les Rambles is the most famous street in Barcelona.
The wide boulevard connects the Plaça de Catalunya, a busy square, to the Monument a Colom, a tall column erected in honor of Christoffel Columbus.
The often crowded street is popular with tourists and locals alike.
The middle part of the Rambla is pedestrianized and bordered by trees. Kiosks, flower stalls, animal stalls and street artists are in abundance here. Traffic passes on either side of the pedestrian area.
The Rambla was originally a small stream flowing just outside the city walls. In the 16th century convents and a university were built along the river.
In the 19th century the city wall was torn down and buildings were erected along the now dried up river. The original buildings were torn down but they are remembered in some of the names of the five different parts of the Rambla. Even though it is one continuous street, it actually consists of five 'ramblas'.

Funny shot, nice expression, good DoF. Only I wish you were a little further back so that the whole newspaper could be seen. Also the subject needs to be contrasted from his background more (you can do this on PS by selecting the subject and copying to a new layer, then darken the background with the mid-tones bar in Levels).
Cheers!

Sylvie

These are too funny Sylvie. I like the onlookers in the background. They look bewildered and I think they are blurry enough to not distract from the main subject:) This is a very informative note about the Rambla as well. I also saw your images on TrekLens you are very talented in catching these funny moments.

Nice capture of this daily life scene. Beside the POV the low saturation of the colors is great. The shallow DOF as well the tilt add strenght to the composition.

:) it's amazing,i like the moment he be shocked by himself(a newspaper-man).
and the couples behind with the bright Taxi sign gave us the impression:that was busy street,so how could he engaged in his work?does the artist keep that action for long?
btw,the living sculpture is rare here~

Hi, Sylvie! Another very good photo with an also good and useful note. The position and the posture of the artist give an impression of movement that I really like. Good work!

Hi Hi sylvie

Amicalement,
Véro

A great shot, love the motion you have captured and the composition is delightful. One of those shots where you just now you've caught something, that involuntary smile appears. TFS
