Photographer's Note
Continueing my little collection of archipelago boats in Stockholm. This is Tynningö, built in the early 1960´s it has a lot more ship like appearance than many of the newer ships.
In a fair wind she will do about 13 knots, speed is not a main thing when the distances between ports are short. Tynningö is one of the ships that can cope with the ice in the winter, at least when it is not too thick. On really cold winters the boat traffic is replaced by helicopters, hydrocopters and snowmobiles.
All the ships in the fleet are named after places in the archipelago. Therefore many of the names end with "ö" which is the last letter of the Swedish alphabet but more important here it is also the Swedish word for island.
For a relaxing film about the traffic and the islands see: http://www.waxholmsbolaget.se/userfiles/37/wax-ramso2.wmv

I like the ship, the sun and the clarity, bright and cheerful, but somehow I think there are too manny objects in the frame, at least I immediately started looking for a crop.

Ce qui est surtout remarquable sur cette photo, c'est l'absence de surexposition alors que le sujet principal est d'un blanc on ne peut plus blanc et que le soleil est bien présent. Trčs belle maîtrise de la lumičre donc. Excellent travail.
