Photographer's Note
The Eiger is a 3,967 metre (13,015 ft) mountain of the Bernese Alps, overlooking Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen in the Berner Oberland of Switzerland.
The northern side of the mountain rises more than 3,000 m (10,000 ft) above the two valleys and this huge face towers over the resort of Kleine Scheidegg at its base, which is also the name of the pass connecting them.
The most notable feature of the Eiger is its nearly 1,800-metre-high (5,900 ft) north face of rock and ice, named Eiger-Nordwand, Eigerwand or just Nordwand, which is the highest of the north faces in the Alps.
For scale: The railway station and restaurant at Kleine Scheidegg, as well as Hotel Bellevue des Alpes.

Hi Kaj,
so beautiful photo with these mountains well photographed, good vertical format to get more impressive and high these peaks, good contrast between nature and the tiny sation in the bottom, good management for the light capture and the white snow rendering, tfs.

Hi Kaj,
What a beautiful snowy scene showing the mighty Eiger North Face, from a great point of view. You managed to get some light on the face, which is usually in shadow because it faces north and is so steep. Excellent composition and light control.
