Photographer's Note
I was walking along the promenade of Lac Léman this particular afternoon, enjoying a festival that was taking place, when this little girl appeared out of nowhere in front of me. Barefoot and carefree with a balloon in hand, she was a picture of childhood innocence…especially considering that her parents seemed to be nowhere near!?
I grabbed my camera as fast as I could to try and capture the spontaneous moment, knowing that my window of opportunity was extremely small. I was so concerned about making sure I didn’t “cut” her feet out of the frame that I didn’t notice that the balloon was unfortunately cropped out. Oh well, at least it made for a amusing look, virtually replacing the oncoming persons head. :)

Hi Jason,
Take no offence, my friend - your aim was good by any photographer's nature, but a big miss: you mighht had to wait one more second, and the baloon in the girl hand's would had not obsecured the nice young lady stoll there in Jeans. Kids always make a charming subject, so besides the fact mentioned - well managed light and sharpness.
sincerely,
Ike

Jason, did you tell her her tag was sticking out? It is too bad about the details of the image, but still I love photos where the subject is walking away from you. Nicely seen.

Hello Jason,
really lovely shot! You captured perfectly this "Fleeting moment".As I see some people complaining here about the details, like for example the cut boloon(ok.maybe it would be look better with the whole baloon in the frame),but what attracts me in this photo more is the unique mood of this moment you were able to convey so good. And we have to also remember you didn´t have to much time to consider how this shot should look like-so I find this composition really successful.
I like also this kind of photography.
Wish You a pleasant day

Hey Jason - yeah, maybe a shame a bit of the balloon is left out, but a great quick shot nonetheless of this little barefoot girl going against the grain here. I hope the balloon helped her parents locate her! Good reaction in the spur of the moment.

Hi, Jason, my dear friend,
Switzerland is one of the main newsmakers today after their referendum ;) This image looks like a scanned photo from 1970th, a cut trousers remind me that fashion too. Amazing effect, good title.
Greetings from hospital,

Hello Jason,
this scene is so charming and conveys the joy and innocence of childhood so effectively that the slight cropping of the balloon can be forgiven:) The lady having her face substituted will remain mysterious for ever, she was probably talking on her mobile, deep in the world of the grown ups anyway. I like very much the naturalness with which movement, colour, contrasting attitudes and the fleeting moment are conveyed. The light, the shadows and the colour palette make this scene so vibrant and attractive. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,
Ourania
