Photographer's Note

The "Lötschberg South Ramp", this is the part of the railway line linking the canton of Valais with the canton Berne (see MAP).

The line exists since 1908, and includes many works of art, such as tunnels and viaducts.

A long trail allows hiking along the line of railway. Along this path, you can find pre-Alpine and even Mediterranean vegetation.

The tour allows you to admire mountain chalets, impressive viaducts , the Rhone valley and Valais Alps, and also the black head sheep found only in Upper Valais.

Have a great day,
