It was taken at annual hot air baloon festival at Chateau d'oex.

I was on watching the baloons from the hill, when suddenly this baloon came in and landed very near.

Sébastien comment reminds me that due to bad weather the baloon festival could not be held the whole week planned 22-30 January. I went on the last day, 30 January. Unlike last year, not so many people came, and we could find parking relatively easy and near the spot. whereas the weather was so lovely. maybe many thought not a good time to go the mountain in such cold time (previous days were so cold and windy). so I guess I was really lucky :)

Hi Cessy! The baloon design is so creative - very nice! It's so huge, considering the building and the people on the photo! The blue sky contrasts well with the white snow! Great POV and very good sharpness and colors! Thanks for sharing! rgds.

i find this shot rather funny! I like how everybody's back is facing you and they are all checking this out ballon. you captured that big ballon quite well, as it looks great with the colors and sharpness. excellent composition, and good interesting shot!

Well, that sure is an original design for a hot-air balloon I should say. And your choice of composition is really smart for (a) the vertical format enhancing the "height" element, and (b) the way in which you caught everybody gawking at the unusual sight. Lovely winter surroundings, and beautiful blue sky to finish it off nicely. Good shot, Cessy.

I like the color, low pov, saturation & lighting. Sharpness is ok. Bagus sekali!
