Reaching for Spring, a photo from Solothurn, West

Photographer's Note

Just a simple shot today. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, there was a gentle, warm breeze and when I looked up all I could see was beautiful blossom. Several days later, the sun is still shining, the birds are still singing spring is definitely here! Lets look forward to long, warm days and enjoy the sunshine.

the most beautiful thing about yr shot (apart from PoV & composition) is the light clouds seen at the left, as if this is that "breeze" that u talked about,

Eh oui le sakura est partout faudrait d'ailleurs que j'arrive a me motiver pour aller faire qq photos... Ta bonne mise au point se voit mieux sur la branche que sur les fleurs qui se melent comme souvent pour un rendu un peu "popcorn", ton travail sur les couleurs est tres bon et les contrastes ont du punch, bravo !

Gorgeous Spring picture, Susanna. Your blue skies are absolutely amazing and here there's also some white watercolor brushes on it that makes it even more beautiful. I really have to get a polariser and try it in the countryside, Alentejo. The contrast of the white flowers is very atractive. Simple composition, marvellous result.

Trčs jolies fleurs blanches (de prunier ?) se découpant sur un ciel polarisé ou se dandinent quelques cirrus. C'est beau le printemps !

Simple shot, but capturing quite well the spirit of the season. I almost can hear the bees flying around and the fresh smell in the air. What makes this post interesting are the veil like clouds remebering that this is also the wedding season.

Sakura in Svizzera eh? Susanna, definitely captures the essence of the season, the tone of the sky is perfect, if I had to be picky the blossoms appear a bit too bright on my monitor.

Hi Susanna
I like looking at branches in Spring and autumn but for me it's not always easy to photograph. You've succeeded well here as the way the branches and flowers occupy the frame make an interesting composition. The wispy clouds help too. The details are excellent and I like how they stand out agasint the polarized sky.

I don't know what is simple about this .. maybe not some grand peak rubbing our nose in the power of nature .. but still this white of the moment of spring awakening against the blue of this sky is just stunning .. the distant trees like an echo of winter ..
