macclesfield Forest, local beauty spot
Whilst out on a cycle ride recently I stopped to admire the view at this popular local picnic spot. The lake (reservoir) is a haven for birdlife.

I usually carry my small compact camera whilst out on my bike.

I spent a little time trying to identify the best way of capturing the atmosphere of the area - hiding the 'main view' behind the forest trees seems to have worked a little - I've tried on a number of occasions to capture this area - not very successfully! I'll keep trying :-)

Hi David,

I think I know what you are trying to achieve here but I don't think it has quite come off. The view beyond the forest can't be made out so it just looks like a line of trees.

perhaps if you move closer to the trees to reveal more of the lake it might work better.
