Taken in the Temperate Biome at the Eden Project. Tidied picture up in NeatImage, cropped it slightly and applied a gaussian blur to the leaves (day 2 of Photoshop learning experience)

Wonderful flower ! I particulary like the effect of depth given by the little white areas and your good composition. Nevertheless I prefer Richard's workshop which offers more details about this beautiful flower. For your future postings, think to use sharpness tool of Photoshop, it whould give you a perfect result... :o)

I've done a little workshop too (tho I love Yuricle's version - that's real poster-art!). Mine is a Gaussian overlay in Multiply mode - not really as fuzzy as it looks.

Such a great framing and perfectly photographed!
I like Yury & Philip's WorkShops too... They are wonderful, but it's also because your picture is great!

I'm not too keen about nature photography, but the luminosity of this flower and the simmetry of your composition are most riveting! It looks that it keeps growing up and up and up. Maybe it won't fit any longer within the borders of the frame the next time I'll look at it? *o)
I created a theme, Exploring shapes and colours. Obviously, you've gone away from this site fro quite some time. Nevertheless, I'd like to include your picture in this theme, but only if that's ok with you. Usually, TrekEarthers don't ask permission for that kind of action, but I respect too much my own posts to "grab" someone else's picture into something one might not want to be associated with; adding a picture to a theme sure shows some appreciation, but it's also a form of appropriation...
So, if you ever come back, Gary, do as you please... ;-)
