Photographer's Note

When my brother and I were small and got bored in the car during our trips to visit our grand-parents, our parents would sometimes take the back roads and we would play "bib-bib and bob-bob". Bib-bib was for a red telephone box, bob-bob for a letter box. The one who shouted out bib-bib or bob-bob first would get the point and the one with most points won of course.
What with the avent of the mobile and the cost of the red paint these symbols of old Britain seem to be disapearing... But not in the Peak district where I saw quite a few during my short visit a month ago.
