Eucalyptus is known for its shedding bark and its smooth white, almost porcelain-appearing, surface underneath
I saw this one in full moult and was intrigtiued by it so this shot was born

The first time that the eucalyptus tree appeared in recorded history was in Abel Janszoon Tasman's journal during his voyage of exploration in 1642, at the island of Tasmania, which was named after him
