Photographer's Note

Hello Everyone,

I love to see the wild flower fields usually posted by Silvio. This year he was disappointed by the flowers due to the lack of rain. I hope things will improve!

It has been reported that more than 90% of the wild flower meadows in the U.K. have disappeared since the 1930's.

These meadows provided homes for many colourful wildflowers as well as butterflies, bees,
grasshoppers and many other creatures.

Although old meadows may never be recreated, we have begun turning over patches of grass, in our village, to wildflower areas.

This is our first attempt and is being much admired by local people. We hope to increase the size of the area next spring.

I will add two workshops, one showing the extent of the wild flowers and another showing closer details.

Thank you for your interest Bev :-)
