Photographer's Note
A shot I took a few days ago that was heavily inspired by jinju's Sometimes Seoul Is Just a Blur.
On my way to university I took a few shots along the way and just happened to have my camera on my shoulder as I was going up the escalator and figured I may as well give it a go.
I'm pretty pleased with the result but credit has to go to Rafal. Thanks for all the great photos you've shared with us all!

Good tribute to Rafal here, and others of the genre. Nicely framed and well thoought out.

Very moving photo. I like the angle of the shop which makes it interesting. Also, the dark area on the bottom and the light area (a bit overexposed though) on top creates good depth in the photo. TFS :)

nice lines and movement, good title too, i like the gradual diagonal of the increasing lightness. a nice tribute too (have to admit, the guy's got style) i'm thinking of a few pixels tighter crop on top, just up to (and including) the black edge of the rail on top right (not quite sure why, maybe i just feel like nitpicking today :-)...) well seen though, the idea reminds me of the allegory in the movie "kontroll".

The striations on the escalator give a good effect on this nicely composed photograph. The motion of the man's leg gives it the dynamic motion.

Saw this shot and had to say that it reminded me of mine. Then I read the note and wow, thanks! Always nice to read such words. I like it a lot, what I like most is that theres only one person here, and in mine if you see I got a bit of another person's leg..something I was a bit unhappy with.

Very much a jinju type photo, however it is also unique at the same time. Great graphism, and I like the overexposed area where the man is stepping into.

Nice work! The diagonal lines of the steps give a very good graphic effect. The person leaving the escalator gives movement to this excellent composition.

Hi Lewis,
nice compo, very mysterious with an excellent contrast.
You shot at the right time, when the man (or woman...) leaves the escalator.
Well done

A sort of style I might want to try again someday. Very good use of B&W here. Lovely contrasts between shadows and lights. Well done!
