Looking at the self-inflicted ruins in England I keep thinking about Brexit but I am not going to comment on it anymore. Let’s focus on the beauty instead.
This was my second visit to the Fountains Abbey. I have seen so many ruins in my life but I was deeply impressed by this place. No surprise it is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. I have showed you a picture of this abbey seven years ago HERE. I liked that photo so much that I didn’t dare to show any other view from this place. But the time has passed and last weekend I revisited on a great weather day, so here you are: a photo from different angle and at very different light conditions.

Hello Mariusz, an excellent point of view, not a viewpoint that I have seen used before.
I know Fountains Abbey, having visited several times; it is a very special place.
You give an excellent impression of the place, picture postcard perfect, in the best possible way.
Kind regards,
Jean.

Hello, Mariusz!
Beautiful ruins, captured with excellent light and sharpness, that make a very nice contrast with the vegetation around! The clear sky helps a lot here, giving better colors to the composition! Wonderful job!

so people just come here to have picnics and hang out? I don't think there are too many ruins that have that distinction, that must mean this is a sweet sweet place. its amazingly intact, well, parts of it. lets hope it stays this way. wonderful peaceful scene, made for families :) hint hint. cheers

Hello Mariusz,
Britain is so full of lots of amazing abbeys and castle and even when they were ruined at some point in the past, they still look so beautiful. This is another fantastic example and you caught it in such an appealing sunlight. The people in the foreground animate the picture as well. Very well done.

Hello Mariusz,
Back to the ruined abbeys of the UK.
No problem. These historic sites always look wonderful.
Again England was bathing in the sunshine.
The stones and small walls spread over the terrain add good depth to the picture.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Mariusz,
This is a place everyone should visit with their cameras, the range of views is remarkable and they are never the same because of the light.
It was an interesting decision to focus your shot from the shadows into the light, for you created a sort of mini-frame.
The abbey still looks proud, even if ruined and I like how you have inferred what a great place it is for family visits and for picnics.
The focus is fine but I would suggest that if you reduce the contrast somewhat, the details of the walls show up a little better.
Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Hello, Mariusz!
Even in ruins this grandiose old cathedral still looks magnificent. Good sharpness and perfect density levels that have given ideal contrast and saturation. Tfs!

Hello Mariusz, that historical site should be rewarding to visit. The abbey contains lawns where the tourists can chill out. The grey stones match well with the greenery. Good image quality and excellent light, regards.

I am surprised how beautiful and well preserved are these ruins. I guess they even could be used again with few effort and I am surprised the people in the 1700's didn't use them.
excellent view.
will you stay in UK after brexit ?
take care

Hi Mariusz.
Impressive ruins of what in past times must have been a great abbey, which would have great heritage today England, if the madness of religion had blinded us to act as vandals.
People enjoying the good weather on the lawn gives a very warm touch.
Good perspective of the image, very nice to look at.
Colorful, sharpness and luminosity are captured effectively.
Very good composition, excellent presentation.
Have a good weekend. Warm greetings.
Luis.
